While thinking of going on a vacation, the first place that comes to your mind is definitely the beaches in Goa. However, the very thought of the bustling beaches can at times make you cringe.
That’s absolutely normal with all the constant presentations, meeting and all the communication and chaos of the professional life. So there are times when you want a vacation on a Goa beach, but also some silence to go with it.
Below listed are some of the best lesser crowded beaches in Goa that you may consider.
This is a smaller and much lesser crowded beach in Goa and is perfect to get away from the crowd. Although lesser commercial, this is one of the few places to visit in Goa on your way to Dabolim Airport.
It has some shacks that serve great seafood, but the best part is that it is around 25 km from Dabolim Airport. So, in case you have a late evening flight, then you could consider some water sports here, just before you fly back.
Colva Beach is one of the perfect places to visit in Goa for anyone who likes isolated beaches. It is the right place to sit back and enjoy the bliss of doing absolutely nothing.
Also, this place serves some average seafood, but for exceptionally great seafood you may have to drive a little further. So, considering the beauty of this isolated beach, it would be worth picking up some seafood and basking in the sun for hours out there.
If you want to get away really far from the crowd and spend some time undisturbed, then Kakolem is a great place to hang out. However, the right word to describe this beach would be “secluded” and that’s not always positive.
Around 66 km away from Panjim, this Goa beach is silent, quiet and secluded. Carry your own food or catch a fish or two and grill it like a caveman.
This is an amazing beach and is great for those who aren’t interested in water sports and are looking for some “me time” on a tight budget. Yes, this is one of the lesser crowded beaches in Goa where you can expect all of that. Also, you can get budget cottages in smaller resorts that have a beach just when you walk out of it.
One of the few secluded beaches situated in Northern Goa, Arambol is the place to be in. This is a much sought-after beach among Bohemians wanting to get away from the crowd.
Although popular for its Turquoise blue waters, this beach in Goa is much lesser crowded than the Calangute. The reason probably is its distance from Panjim, the capital of Goa and the hub of tourism.
This small beach is located in the South of Goa and is a place where it’s always better to carry your own food, more so, if you are picky about it. Although partly secluded, it is far better than the very secluded Kakolem Beach. However, its small size is likely to bore you quite easily, but while in Goa, you can always hop beaches.
This is one of the lesser commercialized beaches in Goa and that also means lesser crowded. The shacks here are countable in number but ensure that you don’t have to actually carry your food.
This 1.7 km stretch is quite close to Palolem and one of the best places to visit in Goa doing nothing. Don’t be surprised if you see some turtles out here because they seem to find this place particularly safe and choose it to nest.
This is a quiet beach located in Vasco Da Gama, and there is not much of that tourist hustle bustle going on here. It is a rather calm beach except for some fishing that goes on here.
Now that makes it a great place to spread a mat and get some rest while gazing at the sea. Don’t expect a wide range of delicacies here, as there are a limited number of places to eat. However, the picturesque sunset that one can see from here beats it all and makes the visit worthwhile.
This is a great beach with strikingly white sand sparkling all over it, only to merge with the clear blue waters. This beach in Goa is a great place to get away from the crowd and get busy with yourself.
There are quite a few joints here so you can get enough food and also quench your thirst. So, without the noisy crowd and highly priced beverages, this is a stunning beach. Very few tourists come here because of the lower commercial activity out here.
The next beach after Varca that stretches up to Morbo is the Cavellosim Beach that is absolutely isolated. Your only companions would be the grazing cows and seldom one may get to see few other people out here.
However, if you get there hungry and in dire need of food, then be prepared to grill your own fish, but that is if you manage to catch some. Absolutely secluded, all you can find here are some petty shops.
As you may have already figured out, most of the lesser crowded beaches in Goa are located in the South of Goa. This region is lesser populated and not as commercial as the North Goa.
That makes it one of the best places to spend some time alone. However, some of these beaches in the South of Goa reportedly have security concerns. So that’s something you need to watch out for in order to have a safer vacation.
